Healing comes so painfully

I'm not feeling so well today, and I haven't felt well in a few days. I'm not going to get into the details of what's bringing me down. I think I'll keep this one to myself. I can be over dramatic sometimes, this I know. But this time, I'm trying really hard to remain positive. It's hard. It's so hard to not expect the worst.

I feel damaged. Broken.

I'm hoping this situation is reparable. I have faith this too shall pass, and I'll look back at this as a learning lesson, a small obstacle in this journey we call life.

Happy, upbeat music does nothing for me when I'm feeling like this. As a matter of fact, it only makes me angrier. The only way I know how to work through times like these is through music that intensifies these already depressing emotions. You can call it self-loathing; I call it therapy.

These five tracks have been on repeat for the past 24 hours, and they'll continue to be on repeat until things get better.

Plumb - Damaged

Pink - Sober
A Perfect Circle - 3 Libras
Modest Mouse - Bukowski
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Desecration Smile

  1. I'm sorry you feel broken :(. That teddy bear is cute. I like the Pink song, but I don't like how she makes out with herself i the video.

  3. I think if you replace the negativity with both rational and positive thought at the same time, you'll feel better. For example, replace over dramatic with sensitive. And not "over sensitive", just sensitive. That's a trait of a considerate person, whatever it may be that he or she is considering. Avoid ruminating as well. If you keep listening to the same tunes over and over, it'll keep reminding you of the feelings that made you listen to them. Try listening to something new.

Your emotions are exactly that: Yours. Don't beat yourself up.

  4. I love Desecration Smile by RHCP and 3 Libras by A Perfect Circle. I've played the second one on loop many times in the past too. Get well.

  5. Jasi, I hope you feel better as you cope with what's going on in your life. Its okay and perfectly acceptable that you're not going to be cheery for awhile. Take each day as it comes and cherish the little blessings in your life. Just remember that your family and friends are always there for you. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts.

  6. These songs are a view of some mixed views on issues two people have, i only listened to songs 1.3.4,,, people need to release or let go on the issue's that are holding them back..but once you do your already on the mouse track wondering how someone that cold and heartless can really be someone you liked or even wanted to spend your life too... As you keep trying to give the world to this heartless bitch, you keep walking backwards as she moves froward threw life like you don't exsist in her life.....But what if she is afraid to open up and let you in...

No one wins... sorry if i don't make any sense but that's what i see when i listen to those tracks... play them again and listen to them
