Don't take your love away...

I have no idea why I haven't blogged about this song yet. This is the song that introduced me to my absolute fave Chicago house DJ...Mr. David Sabat.

The very first time I witnessed Sabat and Madd Soul perform at Cuatro, they busted out this jam. And the bodies on the dancefloor went nuts!

So check it out, and once again...dance with me ;-)

Bring me music

I heard this track on one of David Sabat's recent mixes, and my house head cousin and I immediately became addicted to this groovy jam. We've been dancing around our apartment to this song for the past week or so. Ha! So I had to share it with my pals. It's so sexy and mellow. If you're looking for something deep, vocal and especially seductive, give this one a listen. It'll stimulate your senses...

Be the friend I never knew

I discovered Herbert a few years back while shopping at a Forever 21, and I instantly became a fan. The song I heard that day was "Something Isn't Right" and I made a mental note of the lyrics, came home, googled the words and found out who was the artist.

Anyhow, a couple of months ago, I did a general search for more Herbert songs and came across this one. And I must say, I can't get enough. The beat, hypnotic. The voice, soothing. The words, intense. It seems this song can be interpreted a number of different ways. Overall, I think she's talking about a breakup, but there are so many other elements to the song that I think a listener can make what he or she wants of the song. Regardless of whatever the exact meaning is, the song is beautiful. And I can't help but feel
something when I listen to it.

I shared this song with my friend David Sabat who happens to be an amazing Chicago house artist. And he felt the same appreciation for the song. He even included it in his latest mix, available for download here.

So I hope you'll give this jam a listen, and groove to it as we have been. Please let me know what you think.
