Easy does it, easy does it
The U.S government makes me ill. I was having a conversation with some pals the other day, and the points they made have been haunting me ever since. I'm not going to bore you with all my anti-American propaganda and what not. What I will share, though, is this awesome remix of the Gorillaz track "Kids With Guns."
Why must the government and mainstream media always give us something to fear? I don't buy it. I never will. Fear isn't real, it's manufactured. Remember that.
Interpret this one however you want, but I think you know where I'm going with this one, friends...

ooh ooh ooh! I love a good debate!!! Do tell!
ReplyDeleteYeah let us know what you're thinking. I can't listen to the remix at work, but I love the original of that tune.
ReplyDeleteI heard that the whole album is about how Iraq is being dealt with. If it isn't I have another translation that would fit as well...
ReplyDelete"Kids with guns" - young soldiers
"Mesmerized Skeletons" - young soldiers who think they are being noble by joining the war but are really walking dead.
"Turning us into monsters
Turning us into fire
Turning us into monsters
But it's all desire"
Monsters kill, fire is vengeance and it's all for the desire of oil.
The next verse is about how the kids that sign up for the war are desensitized to the violence and think it's glamorous to kill.
