Sia is performing at the Vic Theatre in Chicago this Sunday Sunday Sunday!
You may disagree, but Zero 7 just hasn't been the same since Sia went solo. She took something with her. Some soul, some depth.
I recently got my hands on some tracks off her new album, which will debut June 7. The title is quite fitting: We Are Born. Sia's earlier music had more of a somber tone...the kind of music I would listen to after a nasty break-up or some other traumatic experience.
This new album, on the other hand, makes me want to get up and dance. I want to take the world by the balls and make some positive changes. It just makes me feel young, vibrant and sassy. See for yourself...
Sia - The Fight
Sia - Clap Your Hands
And here she is performing an older track, "Breathe Me," live in 2008. It is one of the most beautifully depressing songs I've ever heard!
Well, you know I loved Tina Dico–era Zero 7, but Sia kicks it. Enjoy the show!
ReplyDeleteDude, I love some of Sias older music...but the concert was a bit strange for me. If I ever go to see her (and other bands that play the same styl;e of music)again, I will find a seat or, at the very least, a wall to lean against.
ReplyDeleteHa! I know what you mean. Definitely strange atmosphere. I think I'll enjoy Sia's tunes from now on from the comfort of my personal sound system.
